By utilizing a micromachined wedge-shaped double side micro-mirror to implement an input optical beam path change, the design achieved a high level integration of multiple switches on a single substrate, and significantly reduced mirror traveling distance or angle for switch operation and thus shortened the switch time. An array of four 1×2 switches was fabricated on an aluminum substrate with an overall size of only 60×36×7 mm3 . Performance of the switch array prototype was reported, featuring a fast switch time of less than 750 μs and extremely low cross-talk <-70 dB with an insertion loss of between 0.6 and 0.8 dB. An analysis on switch time was conducted using a commercial finite element analysis software package ANSYS and a good agreement was obtained between the measured and calculated switch time..

The spectrum of fiber Bragg grating can be controlled by double exposure technique. The first exposure is used to control the resonant wavelength of fiber grating by directly irradiating the naked photosensitive fiber. The second one is to form the grating to control its reflectivity through an ordinary Bragg phase mask. Considering the multi-decaying-exponential relationship between photo-induced index increment of photosensitive fiber and its irradiating dose, nonlinear double-exposure profiles are calculated by our self-designed software. The triangular fiber Bragg grating is obtained with DCS-01 photosensitive fiber by using a scanning system. As a result, the bottom width and the reflectivity of the grating is 1.24 nm and 0~64%,respectively. As a demodulation device, a triangular fiber Bragg gratings is very important in a fiber grating sensing system..

The propagation behavior of the Gaussian beam passing through the nonlinear optical medium is theoretically deduced and numerically simulated, which can explain the Z-scan phenomenon from a new approach. From this theory, a unified equation is derived, which can describe both the closed-aperture Z-scan curve and the open-aperture Z-scan curve with consideration of the two-photon absorption. It provides a new way to calculate the nonlinear refraction index and the two-photon absorption coefficients. Numeric simulation shows that for the closed-aperture Z-scan considering the two-photon absorption, the simulation results are well consistent with the conventional theory. For a given open-aperture Z-scan curve, the two-photon absorption coefficient computed by the new Z-scan theory is 1/3 of the value fitted by the conventional Z-scan theory, whereas other conclusions are identical to the.......

The content of chlorophyll in leaf of spinach and tobacco decrease, but the content of carotenoid in leaf of spinach increase. These results show that low level microwave electromagnetic field leads to the decrease of potential active of reaction center PSⅡand the photochemical efficiency of PSⅡ in leaf of tobacco.Spinach can keep the photosynthesis in leaf through the change of heterogeneity of PSⅡand the increases of carotenoid..

In the light of the great difference of spectrum characteristic between the experimental results in reference [1] and what have been reported, in this paper the spectrum of DF of chloroplast at different concentrations was studied by using different spectral analysis methods. Experimental results show that the chlorophyll P700 in PS I absorbs the 685 nm component emitted from PS II is increasing as the chloroplast concentration increases, which results in the peak value at 730 nm and nearly disappearance of apex at 685 nm in DF spectrum. Experimental results indicate that the 730 nm component of DF spectrum is the result of re-absorption DF spectrum of 685 nm component, which emitted from PS II as the PSⅠacts on chlorophyll P700. The results in this paper will be of benefit for us for understanding and further study of the mechanism of different components in delayed fluorescence..

With the help of phase-shifting techniques, two phase maps that include out-of-plane and in-plane displacement can be obtained. Theoretical analysis shows that out-of-plane displacement can be separated from in-plane displacement only by simple calculation of phase. In perpendicular the in-plane displacement can be measured directly by dual-beam symmetrical illumination system. When the technique is applied to an oil pump in diesel engine, 3-D displacement fields of the pump are successfully measured. It shows that this technique provides a new effective approach to 3-D displacement measurement and a new method for intensity and rigid of diesel engine elements analysis..

Calculating the approximation of the stop spherical aberration according to these formulas, and then adopting iteration, we can confirm the entrance pupil′s position and primary ray accurately. Furthermore,it analyzes the stop′s coma, discusses the special “conjugate” relation between aperture stop and entrance pupil, and how to improve the uniformity of image plane illuminance by using aberration vignetting.Ray′s total reflection or no-intersection at refracting surface is called “ray overflow”.Frequent ray overflows in the optical automatic design of fish-eye lens makes its CAD very hard.Using Aitkin Interpolation to fill up the intersection points of overflow-rays at image plane can ensure the optimization process persistently to go along, and then clearing up the overflow gradually. In the end,it expounds the successive approach method to confirm the boundary of abaxial beams,a.

The results show that when light incident with the band gap frequency, most part of light is reflected and an attenuated standing wave exists in the PS. The emphasis is placed on the localization of light with the frequency of band gap edge in the PS. By introducing appropriate defect layers inside the PS,light localization can be extremely enhanced. In addition, the different distributions induced by light incident from the left side and from the right side of special PS embedded with definite defect layers would be very useful for the optical diode realization through light nonlinear modulation. In absorptive PS, light field attenuates rapidly with the increase of depth and extinction coefficient..

The experimental data shows that it performs well even in the case where the unwrapping method is limited. It also shows that the measurable maximum curvature can be greatly improved compared with the mask technique. When a spherical wavefront incidents, the measurable minimum curvature radius can be reduced from 75 mm to 10 mm by this method, compared with the the mask technique.Actually since it overcomes the limitation of unwrapping algorithm, much higher local curvature can still be measured..

ByA video stabilization algorithm is presented based on the feature window tracking. First, the proposed algorithm extracts the corner-points as feature from the specified reference frame. Then, based on the fuzzy Kalman filtering, the extracted features are tracked with window-matching method from the succeed frames. By registering the corresponding feature windows, the motion parameters of the camera can be calculated between the reference frame and succeed frames. Finally, vibration of images due to camera shake is stabilized with motion compensation. The experimental results illustrate that the proposed algorithm is effective and robust with low computational complexity..

The current signal can recover directly through the double paths while suppressing the effects of ripples in optical paths. By over sampling in data converting and advanced digital signal processing technique, the response delay to transient failure is lowered down and the detecting performance is improved. The experiment proves this method has lower processing delay and higher precision than the conventional one..

The results for the initial fields in coherent state or squeezed vacuum state are presented. The effects of relative coupling constant R=g_2/g_1 and initial field intensity on the spectrum structure are discussed. When the two modes are both in coherent states, the each mode spectrum appears two peeks for small R and three peeks for R≈1. When the two modes are both in squeezed vacuum states, the complicated multi-peak structure appears for weak fields and single classical resonance peak appears for strong field..
