    Abstract

In order to overcome a electromagnetic interference of the electric and magnetic feeder and to reduce the acoustical noise of low frequency piezoelectricity feeder,a new ultrasonic vibration feeder was presented. An ultrasonic transducer based on piezoelectrical ceramic was used to drive the feeder. The vibration model and parameters of the ultrasonic transducer were studied and calculated and the relational curve between oscillation amplitude and frequency was obtained. In order to create effective vibration,a vertical-drive was adopted to design its construction. The structure parameters were calculated, and correlative equation was built.Experimental results show that the discharge velocity of thin slice metal of 3 mm diameter reaches 36 cm/min,when frequency is 17.5 kHz and thickness of spring reed is 7 mm.In addition, proposed ultrasonic feeder can carry or feed small solid object without electromagnetic interference.
