As an excellent multifunctional crystal material,lithiumtantalate has good piezoelectric, electro-optic and pyroelectric properties and is widely used in communication, electronics and other industries.This paper introduces the structure, defects and performance control methods of lithium tantalate crystal, summarizes the preparation methods, advantages and disadvantages of lithium tantalate crystal, analyzes the research progress of lithium tantalate crystal in various application fields at home and abroad, and prospects the development of lithium tantalate crystal, in order to provide assistance for the application and research of lithium tantalate crystals.
