The Development of New Q-switching Material: Cr4+:YAG

Cr4+:YAG is new Q-switching and tunable laser crystal. As a new saturation absorption crystal, it has more good characteristics than conventional materials. In this paper, the characteristics of saturation absorption of this crystal were described. Optimum Selection of Multi-wavelength in White-light Interferometer

Computed Holograph of Stratiform Flame

Imaging Processing Research of Optical Coherence Tomography

In this paper,a simple method was used to eliminate the edge effect of SLD,and obtain clear image of Tomography Structure. Absolute Concentration Measurement of Illuminant Particles by Using the Piston Source Method

A calibrated piston source of light,which simulates a cylindrical-volume luminosity source,has been introduced to measure the absolute concentration of illuminant particles. Remote Sensing of Precipitable Water from Infrared Solar Spectra

Infrared solar spectra on clear days were measured automatically by an infrared solar spectrometer (ISS) capable of 0.4 cm-(-1) resolution developed by us. Precipitable water was retrieved from the recorded infrared solar spectra near 3.434 μm wavelength band,which is absorbed by atmospheric water vapor. Comparison shoInfrared solar spectra on clear days were measured automatically by an infrared solar spectrometer (ISS) capable of 0.4 cm-(-1) resolution developed by us. Precipitable water was retrieved from the recorded infrared solar spectra near 3.434 μm wavelength band,which is absorbed by atmospheric water vapor. Comparison shows that the retrieval result coincides quite well with radiosonde. The characteristics of diurnal and seasonal variation of precipitable water were obtained over Hefei from the measuremental data of nearly 18 months since April of 1997. It is found that the precipitable water is related to surface dew point temperature. The results are also discussed in the paper..

The Chemiluminescence of the Products in Energy Transfer Reaction of Metastable Atom He(23S) with Molecule N2H4

The energy transfer reaction of metastable atom He(23S) with molecule N2H4 was studied using discharge-flowing afterglow technique. The emission spectrum of excited radical NH(A3∏→X3∑+). NH(c1∏→a1△). NH2(A2A1 → X2B1) were observed. The ratios of formation products exit were obtained by relative spectra intensity. Diagonalization of Quadratic Hamiltonian by the Linear Quantum Transformation

Dipole Amplitude-squared Squeezing of a Three-level Cascade Atom

The Study of 1.067μm Laser Characteristics of Nd3+:KGd(WO4)2 Crystals

This paper presents the pulse laser characteristics of neodymium doped potassium gadolinium tungstate (KGW) crystals grown in our institute. The maximum laser output of a KGW rod with dimensions of φ3.4 mm×24 mm was 358.4 mJ/pulse at wavelength l.067 μm,when it was pumped with a single xenon flashlamp. Stable Single-frequency Fiber Ring Laser with Linewidth Less than 0.5 kHz

Investigations on a High-repetition-rate Q-Switched Flashlamp-pumped Ti:sapphire Laser

Harmonic Generation during Short-pulse,Ultraintense Laser Interaction with Solid Target

A simple model is presented to describe the interaction of short-pulse,ultraintense,oblique incident,p-polarized laser with solid target and attribute the generation of harmonics to the nonlinear mixing of the transverse and longitudinal electronic currents in a very thin layer under the surface of the solid target. Dynamical Characteristic of Single Electron in Coupled Quantum Dots

Research on Optical Soliton Transmission in Common Single Module Optical Fiber System

In the optical soliton transmission systems using common single module optical fibers,the amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) noise and the overflow of dispersion waves are the two main factors that can cause energy and timing jitter of soliton,thus leading to some errors in bit rate of system. It is shown by the results measured in the atmosphere that the eddies with temperature sharp Changing section via temperature discontinuous surface may frequently occur in an unstable stratified turbulent medium. Retrieval Atmospheric Aerosol Optical Thickness from Geostationary Meteorological Satellite Data
