Abstract

The energy level structure and the spectral characteristic of a novel laser crystal Yb:YAB(Yb:YAl(BO3)4) are analyzed, and the analytic expressions of the laser output with CW end-pumping are achieved.The dependence of the output laser intensity and threshold on the temprerature, the effective optical length of the crystal and the reflectivity of the output coupler are discussed.
