A design of Gabor filters which are distributed as a ring on the frequency domain is proposed. In the sense of energy, the selection procedure of adaptive filtering ring and feature extraction expression after Gabor filtering are presented. After multi-orientation filtering with the Gabor ring, texture features of every pixel are derived and segmentation is performed. Experiments show that better results can be obtained.
